Basketball

All students in Years 1 to 6 (boys and girls) are invited to join our school basketball club, the WPS Vipers. We put an emphasis on having a go, learning the skills and rules, and most importantly having fun with friends. Both girls and boys may join a team and they train during lunchtime at school.

The Vipers Basketball Club is an extra-curricular club run by Wahroonga Preparatory School. The School enters basketball teams into the Hornsby Kuring-Gai Basketball Association (HKBA) competition, which is a community association open to all groups interested in playing basketball.

The basketball program at the school is an excellent introduction to structured team sports, which caters to students of all abilities and experience, from the development squad for first timers to representative opportunities for talented athletes. Our aim is to give every student the opportunity to develop confidence in team sport and to reach his or her potential in skill development in an environment appropriate to each individual.
